James joined Syndicate 5151 in 2008 underwriting property treaty and other short tail lines. He is now responsible for engineering treaty in addition to underwriting the specialty lines portfolio. His career in reinsurance underwriting began in 1998 and has covered both the Lloyd's and London markets. He previously spent the majority of his career working for various entities within the QBE Group, as an underwriter on the North American property treaty account at Syndicate 566 and prior to that underwriting international property treaty at QBE International Insurance Ltd.
