Gordon joined Montpelier in 2009 as part of the newly formed marine team. He is now responsible for underwriting international cargo and specie business.
Gordon has 30 years experience in the industry and worked through the cargo UK agency sector before moving into the London market. His career has included appointments with Royal Insurance, Minet, Eagle Star and Swiss Re, writing both cargo and specie business for a global client base. Gordon has previously represented the Reading Marine Group as chairman and latterly served as company representative on the Joint Cargo Committee before moving to Lloyd’s.
