James joined Syndicate 5151 in 2008 with a primary focus on underwriting property treaty reinsurance/retrocession and some short-tail specialty lines. His career in reinsurance underwriting began in 1998 and has covered both the Lloyd's and London markets. He spent the majority of his career working for various segments of QBE Group, most recently as an underwriter on the North American property treaty account at Syndicate 566. Prior to that he was underwriting international property treaty at QBE International Insurance Ltd.
